Everywhere you go in Columbia right now people are abuzz about the start of this year's football season and Mizzou joining the SEC and while some of us at Swank are bigger fans than others, we're all focused on what changes welcoming the SEC and its fans to Columbia will bring to gameday fashions.
When I first moved here, women were wearing denim skirts and kid-sized jerseys and it really hasn't changed much since then. Sure, everyone has swapped their denim skirts for denim cutoffs and sometimes opt for a fitted Mizzou tee or crop top instead of the jersey, but for the most part casual style has ruled--but that's not SEC style.
What you can expect to see from SEC fans is what you can expect from fashion in general in the South--dresses, cowboy boots, ruffles and embellishments, not necessarily what we at Swank are sporting these days so we thought we'd put together a post of what we'll be wearing this Saturday.
