Model Behavior

When our friend (and fellow downtown small business owner) Tori Araujo was asked to model for the launch of the newly rebranded COMO Living Magazine, we were more than happy to help style her for the occasion. Being a mother and business owner, she wanted something classy and mom-appropriate that flattered her body without making her look too old or like she was trying to hard--she's only 28 after all! When we pulled out this Finders Keepers dress she was a little apprehensive of the cutout at first, "I have boobs and I've had two kids!" she tried reasoning, but upon trying it on, it was hard to get her to even try anything else on. The triangular cutout is perfectly placed at the base of the ribs and angles up, highlighting (or faking) an hourglass shape, but also drawing the eye upward and hiding that lower stomach area that all women seem to hate. It even contained and minimized her ample bosom! Both sexy and flattering, even if you're shaped like a real woman and not a size 2, like Tori!

Since the dress had so much going on, we kept the accessories clean; adding a dangly crystal earring, a simple open cuff, a variety of delicate stackable rings, and classic black shoes. We had also picked out a clutch to pair with the ensemble which didn't make it into the photos but details are included below!

Tori's husband Pablo was styled very dapperly by local men's boutique, Bingham's in a brilliant navy suit with patterned tie and coordinating pocket square to match Tori's dress.

You can see the whole spread by picking up a COMO Living Magazine wherever magazines are sold (or you can probably go raid Pablo's stash at Blanc Studio!)
