Ok, Round One with Chi Omega and Kappa Kappa Gamma was so much fun!!
If
you missed it, Chi Omega ended up winning the round by about 150 likes,
which we thought was a lot...until Round 2! Round 2 killed my
iPhone--death via Instagram, who knew? You Pi Phi & Zeta ladies
have some pretty mean social media skills, blowing past the 884 that
took Chi Omega all week to accumulate and win with and are currently
competing at a whole other level. The last time I checked, both were in
the 2000's and Pi Phi had just tagged Dierks Bentley to like their
photo!
Football
is over, so let the games begin for the girls! This fun & fashion
filled contest features 2 great looks from Swank styled and modeled by a
team chosen by the sorority going head to head against one another to
win $$ for their philanthropy and discounts for their entire house for a
week!
(No pressure, right?!)
We
asked each house to provide a styling team of 2-3 girls and a model
and were let loose to play dress-up in Swank for a few hours! We want to
thank the ladies of Chi Omega and Kappa Kappa Gamma for
enthusiastically volunteering for the first round. We had so much fun
watching these ladies pulling items and getting their looks put
together--it was hard not to jump in and play too!
Each
house is competing to win a $200 check to benefit their deserving
philanthropies--Chi Omega is championing for the Make-A-Wish Foundation
and Kappa Kappa Gamma is representing Reading Is Fundamental.
In
addition to helping to raise money and awareness for a such good
causes, the winning house gets 20% off all purchases for every member
of their house, good for one week!
(Pretty sweet rewards, if you ask us!!)
If you and your organization would like to participate, please contact Madison(at)swankboutiqueonline.com for more details.
Now for the clothes:
Both teams went for two of our favorites--our Jeffrey Campbell Orwell Boots, and Wool Brim Hat in Black. Our owner/buyer Erin considers both staples in her closet this winter because they "literally go with EVERYTHING!"
These boots feature a wire-supported deep V cutout shaft with a slight
stacked heel and removable moto-style harness and we've paired them with
everything from skinny jeans to shorts...to dresses...to skirts. Pretty
much everything! Same with our Wool Brim Hats. Originally available in
several different colors, we have Black and Scarlet still in stock and
LOVE them as a statement accessory or an alternative to the top knot or ponytail on a dirty hair day.
Chi
Omega went a little edgy pairing the boots and hat with our
unforgettable Ivory Tulle Midi Skirt, the brand-new L/S Modern Scoop
Crop, a boho-chic statement necklace and a low side braid.
Kappa
Kappa Gamma styled a perfect festival ensemble, layering our Gentle
Fawn Dancer Mini Dress with the Joe's Jeans Military 'Cardi' and topping
it off with a Lily Dawson Gold Knot Necklace and a smile.

We

this weeks' contest--we had so much fun watching these ladies pulling
items and getting their looks put together--it was hard not to jump in
and play too!
Each
house is competing to win a $200 check to benefit their deserving
philanthropies--Pi Phi is championing for the First Book Organization
and Zeta Tau Alpha is representing Breast Cancer Awareness/Research. In
addition to helping to raise money and awareness for a such good
causes, the winning house gets 20% off all purchases for every member
of their house, good for one week! (Pretty sweet rewards, if you ask
us!!)
If
you and your organization would like to participate, please contact

Now for the clothes:
Once again, both styling teams opted for head accessories with Pi Phi choosing our Cabled Fur Pom Beanie (which the model ended up purchasing), while Zeta went for our classic Wool Brim Hat in Red and other than that similarity, both of this week's teams chose looks that were a total departure from last week and from one another.
Pi Phi took a risk, pairing our Capulet Faux Suede Skinny Overalls with simple black pumps by Schutz (the best black pump ever!) and our Nightcap Clothing Low Racer Tank with wrists full of statement bangles. On one wrist they stacked several of our $5 Engraved Brass Bangles, while on the other they placed the Vanessa Mooney Faithful Cuff with pearl center.
Zeta's look was definitely channeling some Carrie Brandshaw-style casual glamour, mixing destructed cuffed JBrand Jake Slim Boyfriend jeans with a silk tank and Oversized Fur Shrug and Jeffrey Campbell Burke Strappy Sandals. The ensemble is topped off with a bold red Wool Brim Hat, a few of our Engraved Brass Bangles, and a statement Lily Dawson Designs Gold Knot Necklace--join us next month when Lily debuts her NEW 2015 Collection at Swank!
